Activated carbon cartridges are made of steel or stainless steel. They are filled with activated carbon. The cartridges have a 3-point bayonet mount to the wall frame. The activated carbon cartridge is replaceable. In the CR version, the cap is equipped with a central nut and a screw for holding the free end of the cartridge.

Activated carbon filters are used in air conditioners where the removal of alkaline and acid gases is required. A typical example of use is the operating buildings of production processes where pollutants are released.
